The Mountain View Band Program is dedicated to giving students the opportunity to grow musically, socially, and academically. Through musical performance, students learn how to perform and appreciate music of a variety of styles and levels of difficulty. Through group involvement, students learn how to work together to achieve common goals and achievements that are more personal and develop self-discipline.
In order to offer a well-rounded experience, we are in need of monetary support to pay for marching band staff (12 of 14 staff members are not covered by a district-supplied stipend), color guard equipment (new poles and flags), percussion equipment (mallets, replacement instruments), travel expenses (bussing), and guest artists/teachers to help with sectionals during the day. Everything donated through this fundraiser benefits the whole band experience.
We rely very heavily on fundraising in order to operate for the year. The marching band alone has fees that are maxed out at $250 per member which covers only about 41% of the total budget. We could not engage in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do here without your monetary support. Please know that no amount is too small. Your ongoing backing and support are both truly appreciated.
